Three things you can check for yourself

1. A licensed Rhode Island contractor since 2000.

Genesis Painting is registered with the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board as GC-26905, with no violations on record. Mario has run the company since 2000 and learned the trade from his father, a master paperhanger who still works with him. Look up GC-26905 on the state's contractor lookup.

2. 4.9 stars from 41 Google reviews, and customers who come back.

One customer wrote on Google in November 2025 that Mario has been their painter for seven years. Another, in February 2026, said Mario and his team came quickly after another painter canceled. Read every review on Genesis Painting's Google profile.

3. A real repeat job.

A homeowner first hired Mario in August 2017 to paint the outside of the house and garage. In April 2021 the same customer hired him again for the inside: the living room, hall, master bedroom and bath, plus power washing the exterior shutters. In the customer's words, he was quick to respond with a quote and very careful with the natural woodwork.
